Meet Dr. Kamra
Dheeraj Kamra, MD, FACP, is the Medical Director of the Center for Aesthetic Medicine. After finishing Medical School in India, Dr. Kamra finished a 3-year residency in General Surgery in India. He moved to the US with his wife and subsequently received extensive training in Internal Medicine at the renowned University of Rochester Medical Center in Rochester, NY and completed his training at Drexel School of Medicine in Philadelphia, PA. Having trained in university settings along with general surgery training in India, Dr. Kamra has had a rigorous training and background in the principles and practice of medicine. After finishing Internal Medicine residency in Philadelphia, Dr. Kamra moved to Milwaukee, WI and started a practice with a private multi specialty medical group. He was involved in teaching residents and students as a volunteer clinical faculty as Assistant Clinical Professor while working at the St. Luke's Medical Center in Milwaukee, WI.
Finally to be near his family in California, after a year of a Medical Directorship with a Hospitalist Program in Lodi Memorial Hospital, Dr. Kamra opened his own practice in Folsom where he has been actively practicing since 2006. Dr. Kamra is a fellow of The American College of Physicians. His interests in the arts and the beauty of the human body led him to seek advanced training in Aesthetic Medicine. He has had extensive training in various aesthetic procedures. He is a fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP), International Association of the Physicians in Aesthetic Medicine (IAPAM), National Society of Cosmetic Physicians and the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine.
He lives with his lovely wife and three kids in Granite Bay, CA. He enjoys outdoor activities, biking, music (Maroon 5 Fan) and playing with his children in the spare time.
